Benjamin Kimrey is an accounting professional from North Carolina who has had a fulfilling life, starting with a rich childhood and leading up to the attainment of a career in a field he has wanted to be a part of for a long time.
As he describes his upbringings: “I am originally from North Carolina and have lived in NC my entire life. I was born in Winston Salem and have lived in Statesville, NC and Elkin, NC in my younger years. While in Statesville, I attended the private Statesville Montessori School in grades 1 through 3. We used to go to Lake Norman all the time while in Statesville and spent countless summers on the lake on my father’s boat. My family then moved back to Elkin, NC, which is where both my parents were born and raised. I attended Elkin’s public school system all the way through grade 12. I have two siblings, a younger sister, Kaitlyn, and a younger brother, Grayson. I went to college at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. I graduated in May of 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. After graduating, I moved back to Statesville where I got a job at Mitchell Community College. After a year or so there, I got another job in Charlotte and then recently got a job in Davidson, NC, which put me right back where I spent the most time when I was kid, on the lake in Lake Norman.”
