Dave Gettleman is the Carolina Panthers General Manager. He spent the offseason making deals and upgrading his team in every way that he could. Wanting to promote long term success as well as build upon their current trend of winning, Gettleman ensured to give extensions to the key players of his teams all in time for the roster to be ready for training camp. None of the extensions were more notable that quarterback Cam Newton’s five year $103.8 million dollar contract.
A year ago, Gettleman said that the team had to remake three position, the wide receiver, offensive line, and the secondary, as quickly as possible. This year they are not in that position. They have a stronger roster than the year before with many youthful players who are coming into their own. Gettleman believes that there is high enthusiasm for the team from all of the players who are hyped on the fact that people are healthy and the high hopes for this year being a special year for the team.
Fans of the Carolina Panthers are ecstatic for the potential that the team has. Benjamin Kimrey is an avid fan of all things Carolina, which would include his favorite National Football League team the Panthers. Though the were mixed feelings at first about the amount that some of the players were being paid for their extensions, the fans are pulling together and still cheering for their team. It also helps that the team is $13 million under the salary cap.
The Charlotte Hornets are one of the most interesting teams in the National Basketball Association. They are a team that can beat some of the best teams in the league, and then the next game lose to one of the worst. The team seems to be stuck in a rut that has been insurmountable. The Hornets are looking forward to changing their luck this upcoming year and make a run in the playoffs.
One of the pieces that the Hornets have signed this offseason with the hope of having him help them turn around their fortune is Elliot Williams. Though he is not officially signed, the former Duke and Memphis guard did find a spot on the training camp roster for the Hornets. At the moment, Williams does not have a guaranteed contract, but a source close to the situation says that the 6-foot-5 guard, who can play both point and shooting guard and has played just over one hundred combined games during his three-year career in the NBA, is expected to be signed.
This acquisition will make on fan extremely happy. Benjamin Kimrey knows all about the new Hornets hopeful, Elliot Williams. Since Kimrey is a huge fan of the Duke Blue Devils, he became familiar with the style of play that Williams brought to the team in college. Kimrey is excited to see what Williams brings to his favorite NBA team. The Charlotte Hornets are definitely in need of help, and they are hoping they can find some of that help in their new guard.
To attain a strong body, both physically and mentally, regular exercise and proper nutrition are crucial. While the physically-intensive Crossfit-type exercises may not be for everyone, you can start simple. Activities such as jogging, cycling, and swimming performed regularly will help you stay active and strong. Incorporating stretches into your workouts helps keep the limbs and joints nimble. Big muscle gains can are only possible through increased physical exertion, some of which may include resistance training and weight training.
Perhaps the most visible complement to regular exercise is eating healthy foods. With the increase of junk and processed foods stocked on store shelves, it’s becoming increasingly hard for the modern working person to eat a healthy meal. Such foods contain preservatives and chemicals that are harmful to the body. For someone looking to stay healthy, eating wholesome, natural foods is the way to go.
With extra effort, you can go out of your way to find such foods at your local supermarket or grocery store. What you eat is very important, especially since the energy to live, work, exercise, and enjoy life comes from the food we eat. Partake the right food, and your body will thank you for it.

For many fans of the Carolina Panthers, the massive contract extension signed by the franchise’s young quarterback, Cam Newton, may not have come as a surprise given Newton’s improvement in play and decision making since he was drafted as the first overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
According to the official Panthers website, Panthers.com, “Newton became the first player in NFL history to accumulate 10,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards through his first four seasons. He has amassed 14,426 passing yards and 2,571 rushing yards by being productive every year, standing as the only player in league history to top 3,000 passing yards and 5,000 rushing yards in four consecutive seasons. His 33 rushing touchdowns are the most for a quarterback through four seasons in NFL history.”
To the team’s decision-makers, Newton keep making strides in the right direction, and the team is confident of his growth in years to come. In his rookie year, the Panthers improved by four victories to 6-10, which began with him tying the NFL record for passing yards by a rookie with 422 and ended with him owning the rookie record for passing yards in a season with 4,051. He also broke the all-time record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback with 14.
In each of the past two seasons, Newton has led the Panthers to the playoffs. In 2013, the team won the division with a 12-4, and followed up in 2014 with a 4-0 finish in the regular season to become the first team to win consecutive division titles.
